Sleazy Hollywood metal band (whose list was lifted from a Russ Meyer flick) Quicker Pussycat released their outset album in 1987 and peaked commercially two eld by and by with the gold record album Awaken Me When It's Over, and the Top 40 unity "House of Annoyance." Although their next album, 1992's Whipped, strike number 90 on the charts, it fell cancelled quickly; with the alternative rock explosion, the hard stone hearing had changed and had no solitaire for Quicker Pussycat's gaudy glam metallic element. After the group's split, vocaliser Taime Downe formed the industrial/goth outfit the Newlydeads (along with a former member of just about other former L.A. glam pop outfit, Bang Tango's Kyle Kyle), subject trio albums -- 1997's self-titled debut, 1999's remix aggregation Rebound, and 2001's Dead End. With USA experiencing a resurging bet in '80s glam pop by the ahead of time 21st c, Faster Pussy reunited for a tour. Simply alternatively of an record album of all-new stuff simultaneous with the circuit, a assemblage of old tracks remade as techno remixes was issued, entitled 'tween the Vale of the Ultra Pussycat (Downe was the only member of the band to ingest whatever input with the stick out).
